Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications and automation frameworks in CAD and QGIS environments.
  • Lead development initiatives in telecom related projects for geospatial data integration, transformation, and visualization.
  • Build scalable, efficient solutions for FTTx plan & design.
  • Collaborate with product managers, solution architects, and business stakeholders to define technical requirements.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projects.
  • Optimize existing workflows, ensuring high performance, usability, and maintainability.
  • Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Research and evaluate emerging geospatial technologies to recommend adoption where applicable.
  • Support customer deployments, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

Must-Have Skills


  • 8+ years of professional experience in software development with CAD and QGIS platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in C# .Net, Python for geospatial application development.
  • Hands-on experience with QGIS plugin development and PyQGIS APIs.
  • In-depth knowledge of CAD environments (AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar) and CAD scripting/automation (AutoLISP, VBA, .NET, etc.).
  • Expertise in geospatial data formats (Shapefile, GeoJSON, GML, DXF, DWG) and transformations.
  • Solid understanding of spatial databases (PostGIS, Oracle Spatial, or SQL Server with spatial extensions).
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies with distributed teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with GIS Web Services (WMS, WFS, WMTS) and OGC standards.
  • Exposure to open-source GIS stacks (GeoServer, MapServer, GDAL/OGR).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for hosting geospatial applications.
  • Experience in AI/ML-driven geospatial applications or spatial analytics.
