Role Overview:
The GIS Executive will be responsible for managing geospatial data, processing drone survey outputs, creating maps and deliverables, and ensuring data accuracy and quality across projects. The role requires hands-on experience in GIS software, data management, and coordination with survey and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and analyze drone survey data including orthomosaics, DEMs, LiDAR, and 3D models.
- Perform spatial data editing, cleaning, and integration using GIS platforms.
- Generate high-quality maps, layers, and shapefiles as per project requirements.
- Work closely with the drone operations and data processing teams to ensure spatial accuracy.
- Manage geospatial databases and maintain organized project data repositories.
- Use GIS tools for powerline corridor mapping, asset tagging, and right-of-way analysis.
- Support PLS-CADD and AutoCAD teams with GIS inputs and coordinate conversions.
- Prepare project reports, visualizations, and map-based insights for clients.
- Perform QC checks on data deliverables before submission.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geoinformatics, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- 23 years of professional experience in GIS mapping and spatial data analysis.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS, QGIS, Agisoft Metashape, PiX4D Mapper, Global Mapper, and AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of Drone Survey outputs, LiDAR, and Remote Sensing data.
- Understanding of coordinate systems, projections, and spatial data accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with PLS-CADD data integration or Powerline corridor mapping.
- Familiarity with web-based GIS platforms and data visualization tools.
