Job Description

Use GIS software to analyse spatial and non-spatial information.
GIS experts enter GIS databases such as spreadsheet files of latitudinal and longitudinal coordinates, aerial or satellite imagery, tabular data, manual digitizing of images of maps.
They ensure the accurate documentation of parameters and context of GIS data.
GIS experts are responsible for creating thematic maps for educational and environmental purposes. Individuals perform geospatial modelling or spatial analysis.
They analyze a wide range of areas that includes health, city government, transportation, urban planning, geology, archaeology, and marketing.
GIS experts use the GIS system to route emergency and fleet vehicles.
