Role Purpose

The German/English Editor & German Translator ensures high-quality bilingual (EN/DE) content for ISG market research reports. The role includes translation, editing, quality control, and editing post machine-translation.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate English market research reports into idiomatic, fluent German.
• Edit German and English reports for clarity, grammar, sentence structure, and tone.
• Post-edit machine-translated (DeepL/GPT) content to correct idioms, grammar, and terminology.
• Maintain glossary and terminology sheets across projects..
• Ensure content meets ISG quality, formatting, and style guidelines.
• Work with analysts and editors to finalize publication-ready content.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 3-5 years experience in translation/editing
• Strong English-to-German translation proficiency
• Proficiency in spoken German
• Ability to rewrite in German with Knowledge about its idiomatic use
• Excellent German and English editing skills
• Ability to rewrite literal translations into natural, idiomatic German
• Knowledge of business and technology terminology
• Experience with MT post-editing
• Experience with machine-translated content.
• Strong attention to detail and language accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
