Geotechnical-Material Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical investigations including soil, rock, and material sampling for construction projects
• Perform and supervise laboratory and field testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials
• Analyze test results to assess material properties, strength, stability, and compliance with project specifications and standards
• Prepare geotechnical and material investigation reports, recommendations, and technical documentation
• Support foundation design, earthworks, pavements, and slope stability assessments
• Monitor construction activities to ensure materials and workmanship comply with approved specifications and quality standards
• Coordinate with project managers, designers, contractors, and site teams to resolve geotechnical and material-related issues
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations
• Assist in developing material specifications, testing plans, and quality control procedures
• Identify potential geotechnical risks and recommend mitigation measures
• Maintain accurate records of testing, inspections, and site observations
