Role Description

This is an on-site contract role for Geologists and Mining Engineers (for 1 year, extendible) based in the capital cities of Northern states of India - Srinagar, Jammu, Chandigarh, Shimla, Dehradun, Udaipur, Jaipur. Lucknow and NCR/ NCT. The role involves working on Government's minor mineral mission. We would be keen to hire local resources for the same. For suitable resources, full-time employment may also be considered. For contractual employees who prove to be strong performers, full-time job offers may be made after a minimum project tenure.

No. of Positions - 7 Positions for Technical Roles, 7 Positions for Commercial Roles, Candidates should mention their preferred location, amongst the locations mentioned, in their application. Even though NCR/ NCT is mentioned as a location, candidates for the same are already identified and only in rare circumstances will we admit applications preferring NCR/ NCT.

Qualifications for Technical Roles

• MSc. in Geology/ Applied Geology or B.Tech in Mining from any reputed University
• MBA or PGDM is desirable but not mandatory
• Proficiency in Field Work in Geology and Mining
• Experience of using software to prepare Geological Models and Mine Plans
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills - English and Hindi
• High proficiency in use of MS Office suite of products (Excel, Powerpoint, Word etc.)

Qualifications for Commercial Roles

• Chartered Accountant, BSc in Economics or BE/ BTech in any Engineering Discipline
• MBA or PGDM for a reputed institution or state university is mandatory
• Proficiency in Contract Management and/ or Accounting/ Finance
• Experience in mining sector or professional services sector solving mining industry issues
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills - English and Hindi
• High proficiency in use of MS Office suite of products (Excel, Powerpoint, Word etc.)

Post-Qualification Experience

• Minimum 3 years, Maximum 10 years (Over and Under-qualified CVs will be ignored)
