Job Overview
We are seeking a Junior Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Engineer to join our team in Mumbai on a full-time basis. As a GIS Engineer at Jio, you will play a vital role in supporting digital initiatives by handling geospatial data, performing advanced analysis, and contributing to the deployment of innovative telecom and enterprise solutions.
Experience (Yrs) : 2 to 4 Years
Qualifications and Skills
Graduate in any discipline or Diploma in Engineering, BE, B. Tech, M. Sc, MA, M. Tech in Geology, Geography, Civil, Remote sensing, GIS, Geoinformatics.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Analyze, validate, and process geospatial datasets to support digital infrastructure planning and implementation.
- Create, update, and maintain detailed maps and drawings using AutoCAD and ArcGIS for both field and enterprise uses.
- Interpret satellite imagery for telecom network planning, helping teams identify feasible deployment zones and infrastructure requirements.
- Handle GIS data conflation to consolidate, reconcile, and improve geospatial datasets, ensuring high data integrity and utility.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to translate business and technical requirements into geospatial solutions.
- Support 3D spatial visualization projects utilizing Arc Scene to improve project planning and visualization for stakeholders.
- Prepare presentations, analytical reports, and dashboards using MS-Office to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and internal policies for topological and spatial data accuracy and security.
Software Skill : AutoCAD*, ArcGIS*, ArcGIS Pro*, Arc Scene, MS-Office
