Position Title : Senior Generative AI Lead

Position Overview -
We are seeking an experienced Senior Generative AI Lead to join our AI Engineering team. This role combines deep technical expertise in generative AI with team leadership and project management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will drive the strategy and execution of our generative AI initiatives, mentor a team of AI engineers, and provide strategic input on AI product development and architecture decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of AI/ML engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence
Provide strategic technical input on generative AI project planning, architecture, and technology selection
Design, develop, and deploy production-grade generative AI solutions using LLMs, RAG systems, and fine-tuning techniques
Lead code reviews and establish best practices for generative AI development and responsible AI deployment
Collaborate with product and business teams to translate requirements into technical roadmaps and project milestones
Evaluate and integrate emerging generative AI models, frameworks, and tools (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source models, etc.)
Monitor and optimize LLM performance, cost efficiency, latency, and reliability in production environments
Document architectural decisions, maintain technical documentation, and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions
Required Qualifications
4+ years of professional experience in generative AI, LLM development, or related AI/ML fields
Proven experience working with large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, RAG systems, or fine-tuning
Strong software engineering fundamentals: Python, system design, API integration, and deployment pipelines
Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring technical teams
Experience with generative AI platforms and APIs (OpenAI GPT, Claude, Hugging Face, Azure OpenAI, etc.)
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with production generative AI systems at scale
Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search technologies
Experience with ML operations (MLOps), model monitoring, and evaluation metrics
Knowledge of responsible AI, bias mitigation, and ethical AI practices
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for ML workloads
Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects or published research
Advanced degree (Master's/PhD) in Computer Science, AI, or related field

Participate in product roadmap discussions and provide technical feasibility assessments
Identify technical risks, propose mitigation strategies, and manage technical debt
Lead architecture reviews and ensure alignment with company technical standards
Provide recommendations on tool selection, technology stack, and infrastructure decisions
Contribute to hiring and team expansion planning
