The Opportunity:
Join us as the commercial and technical engine behind our Buildings and Infrastructure bids. As General Manager - MEP Tendering & Estimation you will lead MEP tendering team, and build estimates that help organization shape the orderbook. This is a role with significant impact on our business growth.
Scope of responsibilities:
Bid Strategy & Governance
Decode tender dossiers to craft a crisp bid synopsis, bid/no bid rationale, and pursuit plan aligned to margin, risk, and capacity.
Frame pre bid clarifications, client interactions, and internal gateways.
Technical & Commercial Estimating Excellence
Build robust first principles estimates with transparent build ups, benchmarking, and scenario analysis.
Validate BOQ quantities with engineering; test assumptions; reconcile drawings, specs and rationalize it.
Field Intelligence & Site Due Diligence
Conduct site visits to surface constructability, access, utilities, logistics, and local constraints; issue crisp site visit reports that inform cost and schedule.
Tender submissions
Own the technical submissions, method statements, execution methodology, resource loading, program overviews, temporary works concepts, and compliance matrices.
Partner with Planning to produce a credible program and with HSE/Quality on project specific requirements.
Cross Functional Leadership
Present estimates to senior leadership; secure approvals with confidence and clarity.
Collaborate with BD, Planning, Contracts, Procurement, Finance, and Engineering to ensure unified and compliant tender submissions.
Qualifications & Experience
B.E./B.Tech is required. Candidates with Mechanical/Electrical degrees and strong MEP tendering exposure will be preferred.
18+ years of experience, with major focus on tendering/estimation for infrastructure projects.
Proven expertise in first principles estimating, BOQ validation, and subcontract adjudication for multi disciplinary MEP packages.
Strong commercial acumen across fixed price/EPC frameworks, risks, contingencies, and cash flow sensibilities.
