Role Summary
The General Manager - Sales will be responsible for driving overall revenue growth, developing strategic sales plans, and leading the sales function across hotel units. The role focuses on maximizing occupancy, banquet sales, corporate tie-ups, and overall market share while building strong client relationships and leading high-performing sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets across rooms, F&B, and banquets
- Drive corporate sales, MICE, and group business for all units
- Identify new business opportunities and expand client base (corporates, travel agents, event planners)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team across locations
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies
- Ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Collaborate with marketing for campaigns, promotions, and brand visibility
- Oversee rate negotiations, contracts, and key account management
- Track sales performance, pipeline, and conversion through MIS and reports
- Drive revenue optimization and occupancy growth across properties
Skills Required
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Strong knowledge of hospitality sales (rooms, banquets, MICE, corporate)
- Ability to build and manage key client relationships
- Strategic thinking with strong business development capabilities

- Proficiency in CRM systems and sales tracking tools

Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in hospitality sales, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of achieving sales and revenue targets
- Experience handling multi-property / cluster sales preferred
Qualification
- Graduate / Postgraduate (Hospitality / Sales / Marketing preferred)
