Role Overview
The Head of Sales / GM will be responsible for launching, establishing, and scaling the new JV's water treatment business in India. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical understanding, strategic thinking, and direct sales execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Introduce the JV entity and its water treatment products/solutions into the Indian market
- Develop and execute market entry, growth, and establishment strategies
- Identify and map key stakeholders, organizations, and decision-makers
- Lead sales and business development activities, building strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Drive product and solution development by engaging with customers to understand requirements and customize offerings
- Collaborate closely with internal and JV partner teams to align strategy and execution
Location & Travel
- Base location: Pune
- On-site work required
- Travel to customer locations as needed
Compensation
- Compensation as per industry standards for new entities
- Mix of fixed salary and stock options / equity
Candidate Profile
- 812 years of experience in the water treatment domain
- Strong technical understanding of water treatment systems and solutions
- Ability to work independently or within a small, fast-moving team
- Self-driven, proactive, and growth-oriented mindset
- Fluent in English and Hindi (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus
- Well-presented and confident in client-facing situations
- Highly motivated to exceed targets and build a business from the ground up
