About the OrganizationWe are a precision manufacturing organization engaged in CNC Machining, Sheet Metal Stamping, and Product Assembly, with critical processes managed through qualified third-party suppliers (Anodizing, Electroplating, Powder Coating, Welding, etc.).
We work extensively with American, Japanese, and Korean customers, where audit discipline, compliance rigor, and execution maturity are mandatory.
Role PurposeTo lead end-to-end Quality Management, covering manufacturing quality, NPD, export compliance, overseas customer interface, and management systems. The role requires a hands-on quality leader with strong audit exposure and customer-facing confidence.
Key Responsibilities1. Manufacturing & Shop-Floor Quality- Lead quality operations across CNC machining, sheet metal stamping, and assemblies
- Ensure implementation and adherence to control plans, SOPs, and inspection standards
- Drive reduction in rejection, rework, and customer complaints
- Ensure measurement system discipline and process capability
2. NPD / New Product Development Quality- Own quality deliverables from drawing freeze to SOP
- Support APQP, PFMEA / DFMEA, process validation, and risk mitigation
- Manage PPAP, FAI, and customer submission approvals
- Participate in cross-functional and customer gate reviews
3. Metrology & Calibration- Hands-on exposure to:
- Mechanical Measuring Instruments
- CMM
- VMM
- Roundness Tester
- Plating Thickness Meter
- Own calibration planning, execution, compliance, and audit readiness
- Engineering Drawing Understanding
4. Audits & Management Systems- Lead implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of:
- ISO 9001 – Quality Management System
- ISO 45001 – Occupational Health & Safety Management System
- IATF 16949 (preferred / exposure-based)
- Act as internal auditor / lead auditor for QMS and OHSMS
- Drive closure of audit findings, corrective actions, and system improvements
- Lead customer, third-party, and certification audits (on-site & virtual)
5. Overseas Customer & Export Quality- Act as primary quality interface for American, Japanese, and Korean customers
- Lead virtual customer meetings, technical reviews, and escalation calls
- Present audit outcomes, 8D reports, and corrective action plans
- Support export-oriented documentation, traceability, and compliance expectations
6. Supplier Quality Management- Manage supplier quality for outsourced processes
- Conduct supplier audits and capability assessments
- Drive corrective actions and continuous improvement at supplier end
7. Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement- Lead structured problem solving using 8D, RCCA, CAPA
- Apply Six Sigma / Lean tools for defect reduction and process improvement
- Track effectiveness and prevent recurrence through system controls
8. Team Leadership & Training- Lead, mentor, and develop quality engineers, inspectors, and operators
- Conduct training on quality tools, audit requirements, and customer standards
- Build execution discipline and accountability culture
9. Project Management & Virtual Coordination- Manage quality deliverables as projects with timelines and ownership
- Coordinate with cross-functional and virtual global teams
- Track risks, actions, and milestones for NPD and serial production
Candidate ProfileEducation- BE / BTech / Diploma in Mechanical or related discipline
Experience- 8–15 years in manufacturing quality (CNC / sheet metal / assemblies preferred)
- Strong exposure to export-oriented manufacturing and overseas customers
- Experience handling system, customer, and certification audits
- Involvement in NPD programs and customer launches
Certifications (Preferred)- ISO 9001 / ISO 45001 Internal or Lead Auditor
- IATF 16949 Auditor exposure or certification
- Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt (added advantage)
