General Manager – Sales (Interiors )
We are looking for a highly driven and strategic General Manager – Sales to take complete ownership of the sales function, team performance, and revenue growth within our interior design business. The role demands strong leadership, accountability, and the ability to consistently deliver results in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Leadership & Revenue Ownership
Own the entire sales function and be fully accountable for achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets
Drive consistent business growth across corporate, commercial, and premium residential interior segments
Ensure strong conversion rates from lead generation to project closure
Develop and execute aggressive sales strategies to meet and exceed organizational goals
2. Team Management & Performance Ownership
Lead, manage, and mentor the entire sales team across multiple levels
Set clear individual and team targets aligned with overall business objectives
Continuously monitor team performance and ensure achievement of monthly sales goals
Conduct regular performance reviews, one-on-one coaching, and capability development sessions
Build a high-performance sales culture focused on accountability, ownership, and results
3. Business Development & Client Acquisition
Identify and convert high-value business opportunities through networking, referrals, and market engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, consultants, developers, and corporate clients
Ensure a strong and healthy sales pipeline at all times
Drive strategic client acquisition for long-term business growth
4. Sales Process & Pipeline Management
Oversee complete sales cycle management from lead generation to deal closure
Ensure disciplined CRM usage and pipeline tracking by the team
Analyze sales data, conversion ratios, and forecast accuracy to improve performance
5. Market & Strategy Ownership
Study market trends, competitor strategies, and pricing to strengthen positioning
Identify new business verticals and expansion opportunities
Work closely with design and project teams to ensure alignment between client expectations and delivery
6. Reporting & Accountability
Present regular sales performance reports, forecasts, and team productivity updates to management
Ensure transparency in target tracking, achievements, and gap analysis
Take full accountability for both individual and team outcomes
Qualifications & Skills:
Strong experience in leading sales teams in interior design, architecture, real estate, or construction industries
8+ years of experience
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a leadership role
Strong team management, coaching, and leadership capabilities
Excellent negotiation, communication, and client handling skills
Ability to work in a target-driven, fast-paced environment
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
