Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced General Manager MEP Design to lead and manage the MEP design team across large-scale commercial buildings, infrastructure developments, and complex engineering projects. The role requires strong leadership, deep technical expertise, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary design teams while delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the MEP Design & Engineering team for large-scale projects.
• Oversee the design and coordination of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and project stakeholders.
• Develop and review MEP design strategies, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Ensure compliance with international codes, standards, and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance to the design team and ensure project delivery timelines are met.
• Support leadership reviews, project meetings, and client presentations.
• Maintain quality standards in design documentation and engineering deliverables.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• 1015+ years of experience in MEP design and engineering, with strong exposure to complex infrastructure or commercial projects.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in leadership or senior management roles managing design teams.
• Hands-on expertise in at least one discipline:
• HVAC
• Electrical Systems
• Mechanical Systems
• Experience managing large design teams and multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  

Must-Have Requirements

• 10+ years of pure MEP design experience (not site or construction roles).
• Experience leading MEP design teams of at least 510 members.
• Hands-on experience in design software such as:
• Dialux
• Amtech
• ETAP
• Proven experience delivering mega infrastructure projects, such as:
• Airports
• Metro Rail
• Large Smart Hospitals
• Experience working with international projects and global engineering standards.
• Experience in engineering consultancy environments.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with global engineering consulting firms.
• Experience designing power and cooling systems for hyperscale data centers.
• Experience working in Global Delivery Centers (GDCs) of multinational engineering firms.
  
  

Preferred Background

Candidates with experience in leading engineering consulting organizations are highly preferred.
