Business strategy: Create a sustainable business model in the category for ongoing business: Go deep, understand where opportunities are and create a viable business model to service the opportunities
Own the business: Co-own the P&L, develop the business model, understand where opportunities are and create a viable business to service them. Own pricing strategy based on market potential, consumer insights, margins, competitive signal
Know the customer: Deeply understand customer behavior, develop new customer Insights, Know the market: Stay on top of trends in an ever-changing landscape, find opportunities and prioritize based on size, internal capabilities, etc. Move the industry with you!
Influence the leadership: Convert strategies into action by liaising with cross-functional leadership and drive the changes required
Partner management : Develop deep and long-standing relationship with the companies Lead a partnership-relations team to identify strategic partners, negotiate better terms of trade and deals for our customers
- Create a comprehensive companies management strategy and governance framework
People leadership : Build, retain and groom a strong team to deliver across functions
- Set goals, define KPIs and ensure team tracks effectively towards goals
- Have a thorough understanding of the industry, trends/events, and continually monitor competitor/industry developments. Customer understanding
- Strong focus on customer needs, both existing and potential, and use that knowledge to deliver a customer experience that is unparalleled
- Stay on top of changing trends and strategic priorities through in-depth data analysis to predict customer behavior
- Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet P&L goals, drive necessary promotions, campaigns basis insights .
- Work with marketing to identify the best ROI initiatives to build awareness and encourage trial across channels SEM, SEO, TV Commercials, etc.
- Understand SEM, SEO and Email marketing identify the right keywords, reduce SEM costs while increasing conversions of website visits to orders
- Work on relevant assortment, enable its discovery and ensure conversion.
Desired Skills:-
- Min 6 years of FMCG experience in retail in category, brand and PnL roles, Food and Beverages experience is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs and solve ambiguous problems along with inventing new ways to meet the needs.
- Tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment
- Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills are essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication with interpersonal skills
- Extreme attention to detail and willingness to roll up your sleeves
- Passionate about the grocery sector in India
