Position Overview:
Chemill Pharma Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and strategicAssistant General Manager (BD - Licensing & Alliance Management)to drive our finished formulations portfolio expansion. This role involves identifying and evaluating new product opportunities, conducting market intelligence and competitive analysis, and supporting business development initiatives to strengthen our global presence. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure strategic product selection, portfolio prioritization, and market entry success.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Building & Management
- Establish and scale the India team in line with business priorities.
- Ongoingly Plan for growth of team and scale up in line with business roadmap.
- Develop SOPs, workflows, and governance structures for efficient operations.
- Recruit, mentor and provide leadership to foster a high-performance culture.
- Ensure smooth cross-functional collaboration between BD, regulatory, supply chain, and project teams.
- Ensure Key Deliverables are being met at every level and India office is meeting expectations and agreed goals.
2. Business Development & Alliance Management
- Develop 3-year country strategy and portfolio for territories to meet revenue targets/
- Identify and negotiate opportunities in dossiers, in-licensing, distribution, and partnerships.
- Build new alliances with global and regional partners across globe and strengthen existing partnerships.
- Manage and strengthen existing alliances and ensure Y-o-Y growth of business size between company and each alliance, both in terms of products and total business value.
- Monitor alliance performance, resolve issues, and maintain long-term strategic relationships.
3. Business Growth & Market Expansion
- Develop strategic business models and execution roadmaps for entry into new geographies.
- Analyse market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and regulatory landscapes to guide expansion.
- Drive market penetration and align India strategy with global objective for revenue and portfolio growth.
- Build Roadmap and execute plan to meet Growth and expansion goals.
4.Client Acquisition & B2B Development
- Acquire new B2B clients across pharma and biotech.
- Expand product portfolio through in -licensing and partnerships.
- Deliver market penetration and align India strategy with global objectives for revenue and portfolio growth.
- Build Team capabilities to service B2B clients and Meet Revenue targets for b2b business unit.
5. CMO/CDMO & Project Management
- Manage CMO/CDMO relationships for contract manufacturing and development projects.
- Oversee project lifecycles including tech transfers, scale-up, regulatory submissions, and compliance.
- Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and financial outcomes (pricing, margins, P&L).
- Ensure projects meet quality, regulatory, and commercial milestones within committed timelines.
- Ensure all projects are executed with low cost, quick timelines and complete transparency.
6. Operations, Team Leadership & System Building
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the India office to ensure efficient coordination and timely resolution of issues.
- Support Hong Kong operations and drive market expansion.
- Develop and implement systems and processes covering market research, product sourcing, partner selection, regulatory diligence, dossier compilation, submissions, and securing approvals.
- Drive commercial activities to secure competitive costs and timely deliveries, building a robust supply chain team.
- Maintain accurate records of products, tenders, registrations, partners, deals, and contacts.
- Resolve operational and personnel-related matters swiftly and strategically
Key Deliverables:
- Increase and strengthen alliances with existing and new partners.
- Enhance and expand the company's product portfolio in each operating market.
- Research, plan, and execute new market development, portfolio expansion, alliances, and product registrations.
- Build and empower a high-performing team, establishing a positive and accountable office culture.
- Develop and implement internal systems and processes for optimal performance.
- Lead commercial negotiations to secure best costs, terms, and timely deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and successful product registrations.
- Deliver on KPIs and performance metrics for both portfolio and team.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on progress and challenges.
