Role Description This part-time, on-site General Dentist role is based in Udupi and involves providing comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing examinations, diagnosing and treating oral health conditions, and delivering preventive, restorative, and cosmetic dental procedures in line with best clinical practices. The role includes developing treatment plans, educating patients on oral hygiene and long-term care, and maintaining detailed, accurate clinical records. The General Dentist will work collaboratively to ensure efficient workflow, high standards of infection control, and a positive patient experience. Participation in case discussions, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing professional development activities is also expected.
Qualifications
- Clinical dentistry expertise, including diagnostic skills, restorative treatments, preventive care, and basic endodontic and prosthodontic procedures.
- Proficiency in using modern dental equipment, digital radiography, and practice management software.
- Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain treatment options clearly and build trust with diverse patients.
- Commitment to infection control, occupational health and safety standards, and evidence-based clinical protocols.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary dental team and contribute to a supportive, patient-centered practice culture.
- Recognized dental degree and current registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant dental council or regulatory authority.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development, including training offered through internal and external education programs.
- Prior experience as a General Dentist in a clinical setting is preferred; new graduates with strong clinical skills and enthusiasm for learning are also encouraged to apply.
