Job Description - General Accountant

Location: Pune

Employment Type: Contract - 6 Months

Working Model: Hybrid (3 Days Work from Office)

Working Days: 5 Days a Week

Shift Timing: Mexico Shift

About The Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting knowledge, hands-on experience in financial reporting, statutory audits, and general accounting operations. Candidates with experience in SAP and strong reporting skills will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation and finalization of financial statements
Handling general accounting and bookkeeping activities
Managing statutory audit coordination and audit support documentation
Preparing financial reports and MIS reports
Performing balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
Managing month-end and year-end closing activities
Coordinating with internal stakeholders for accounting-related matters
Maintaining accurate accounting records and documentation
Working on SAP for accounting transactions and reporting activities

Required Skills & Experience

Strong knowledge of General Accounting principles
Experience in preparation of Financial Statements
Hands-on experience in managing Statutory Audits
Good understanding of Reporting and Reconciliation processes
Proficiency in the SAP ERP system
Intermediate level knowledge of SAP and Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification

Any UG & PG relevant background or Professional qualification (CA/CFA, etc)

Experience

Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in Accounting and Finance

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with prior experience in multinational organizations will be preferred
Ability to work in Mexico shift timings
Comfortable working in a hybrid work environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
