3 years of min. experience in Gearbox Design and min. 1 year experience in Project Engineering
Job Locations: Onsite – Canada and Japan (immediate requirement)Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop gearbox and transmission systems based on project requirements.
- Interpret and create manufacturing drawings in compliance with ASME drafting standards.
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principles in design and documentation.
- Coordinate and manage engineering tasks, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
- Support small-scale project planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and suppliers.
- Review and validate designs for manufacturability and performance.
- Assist in troubleshooting and improving existing gearbox systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design of gearboxes/transmissions.
- Strong ability to interpret manufacturing drawings based on ASME standards, with solid understanding of GD&T.
- Experience in task planning, coordination, and engineering workflow management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, or Creo).
- Effective English communication skills (written and verbal) are required.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in aerospace product design is preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in project planning and management, especially for small-scale engineering projects.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and assembly practices.
