Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled
Data Product Engineer with deep expertise in
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to drive the full lifecycle of enterprise data product development. The role requires hands-on experience in data engineering, architecture, and CI/CD automation, along with a strong understanding of governance, performance optimization, and scalable data systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Development
- Drive end-to-end data product lifecyclefrom ideation and prototyping to deployment on GCP.
- Deliver scalable data solutions aligned with the corporate information model.
- Technical Leadership
- Provide hands-on leadership in building data pipelines, APIs, and data services using GCP-native tools.
- Guide junior engineers and review PRs to ensure code and release quality.
- Architecture & Design
- Design scalable, secure, and cost-optimized data architectures using BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Composer.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with product owners, business analysts, and project managers to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Quality & Governance
- Implement data quality, lineage, and observability standards aligned with enterprise governance policies.
- Innovation & Optimization
- Continuously optimize cost, performance, and scalability across GCP workloads.
- Documentation & Enablement
- Maintain technical documentation and provide enablement support for engineering teams.
Technical Responsibilities
- Build and optimize batch and streaming pipelines using Dataflow, Apache Beam, and Cloud Composer.
- Design and implement data models for analytics and BI (BigQuery, LDS).
- Develop and manage RESTful APIs using Cloud Functions or Cloud Run.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Deployment Manager.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines with Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Set up monitoring and alerting using Cloud Monitoring & Logging (Stackdriver).
- Configure IAM, VPC Service Controls, and encryption for data security.
- Manage and optimize GCP costs and resource utilization.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 8+ years in data engineering/software development; 3+ years in technical or product leadership.
- GCP Expertise: BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Composer, IAM, VPC.
- Data Engineering: Advanced ETL/ELT design, real-time streaming, and data lake implementation.
- DevOps: CI/CD setup, Terraform, Git; containerization (Docker/Kubernetes optional, preferred).
