Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Implement data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions using GCP services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Monitor data systems and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and data integrity.
- Assist in migrating existing data processes to GCP environment, ensuring minimal downtime.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must-Have
- Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform and its data engineering services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Cloud Storage)
- Strong SQL and Python programming skills
- Experience with cloud-based data pipeline architecture
- Hands-on experience with data migration and transformation projects
- Understanding of data security and compliance standards within cloud environments
- Preferred
- Experience with Spark and other big data tools
- Knowledge of DevOps practices related to data engineering
