This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai for a GCP Data Engineer. The GCP Data Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing large-scale datasets, complex data pipelines, and cutting-edge cloud-based solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Key responsibilities include designing and implementing advanced data models, building scalable data processing systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring optimal data security and governance practices, and troubleshooting performance issues.

• Expertise in GCP services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Pub/Sub
• Strong experience in data pipeline development and ETL processes using tools like Apache Airflow or Data Fusion
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
• Knowledge of database technologies like SQL and NoSQL databases
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and schema design
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and version control systems like Git
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience in designing and implementing data security, governance, and monitoring solutions
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus)
• Industry certifications in Google Cloud Platform (e.g., Professional Data Engineer) are advantageous
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is beneficial
