Gastroenterology (GI) Technician

• Post Excerpt (JD) : Your duties include preparing the patient, placing stents, and completing balloon dilating and liver biopsies under
• professional supervision, as well as providing support for various procedures including colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, endoscopy, and bronchoscopy

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare examination rooms and assist in the setup of GI procedures
• Assist physicians during procedures such as colonoscopy, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and liver biopsy
• Sterilize, calibrate, and maintain endoscopic equipment
• Monitor and assist patients before, during, and after procedures
• Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records
• Ensure compliance with infection control and hospital safety protocols
• Assist in the placement of stents and balloon dilation under supervision
• Provide emotional and physical support to patients undergoing GI procedures
