Garment Production Incharge oversees the entire apparel manufacturing process, from raw material receipt to final garment dispatch, ensuring quality standards and on-time delivery. Key responsibilities include planning daily production schedules, managing floor efficiency, troubleshooting bottlenecks, and reducing waste, while supervising cutting, sewing, and finishing departments.
BeBeeBeBee +2Key Responsibilities and DutiesProduction Planning & Execution: Develops daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules, ensuring sewing, cutting, and finishing units meet buyer delivery deadlines.Floor Management & Efficiency: Oversees the production floor, implementing lean manufacturing techniques to boost productivity and reduce cycle times.Quality Control (QC/QA): Monitors garment quality at all stages—cutting, sewing, washing, and finishing—to ensure compliance with buyer standards and minimize defects.Team Management & Training: Leads, trains, and monitors factory workers (supervisors, operators, technicians) to increase skill levels and manage performance.Resource Coordination: Coordinates raw material usage (fabrics, trims) and ensures machines are properly maintained for consistent output.Troubleshooting: Immediately acts on production problems related to materials, machines, or human resources to prevent downtime. IndeedIndeed +6Required Skills and QualificationsExperience: Usually requires 5–15 years of proven experience in garment production.Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of garment construction, pattern making, sewing techniques, and machine types.Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership skills to lead workers and communicate with merchandisers and quality departments.Education: A degree in Fashion Design or Textile Engineering is often preferred.Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze production data, calculate capacity, and improve Efficiency (PPH).
