Ashfield Studio is a passionate and driven independent game development studio committed to creating immersive and memorable RPG experiences. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our core development team to help shape the fundamental mechanics of our upcoming title. This is a unique opportunity for a fresher to gain hands-on experience in a real-world game development environment.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a dedicated individual who is eager to contribute significantly to both the technical implementation and the creative design of our RPG's core systems. The ideal candidate will be a fast learner, possess a strong foundational understanding of game development principles, and be passionate about the RPG genre.
Key Responsibilities
Core Mechanics Design: Actively participate in the design and iteration of fundamental gameplay mechanics (e.g., combat, inventory, progression, dialogue systems).
Blueprint Implementation:
Translate design concepts into functional gameplay features primarily using Unreal Engine Blueprints.
Essential Requirements
Education/Experience:
Currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, a relevant program (e.g., Computer Science, Game Development) or possessing equivalent self-taught experience.
Unreal Engine Blueprints: Demonstrable strong knowledge and practical experience with Unreal Engine's Blueprint visual scripting system is mandatory.
Portfolio Submission: Submission of previous work/projects is required. This must demonstrate proficiency in Blueprints and game systems implementation (e.g., personal projects, game jam entries, prototypes).
