About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mathematics and Further Mathematics Tutor to support high-achieving students from the UK who are preparing for IGCSE/GCSE and A-Level/Further Maths examinations across exam boards (Edexcel, Cambridge International, AQA, OCR/MEI).
The tutor will deliver structured, exam-backward lessons focused on concept mastery, problem-solving, and exam technique, with a track record of guiding students toward top grades (89 at IGCSE/GCSE and A*/A at A-Level).
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality 1:1 or small group lessons in Maths and Further Maths.
- Adapt teaching to different UK exam boards (Edexcel, CAIE, AQA, OCR/MEI).
- Provide structured lesson plans, homework, and exam-style practice.
- Monitor student progress, maintain error logs, and give examiner-style feedback.
- Support preparation for university admissions tests (STEP, TMUA, MAT) where required.
- Communicate regularly with students and parents about progress.
Qualifications
- Strong academic background in Mathematics (Bachelor's/Master's/PhD preferred).
- Prior teaching/tutoring experience with IGCSE/GCSE and A-Level Further Maths.
- Familiarity with exam boards and marking schemes; examiner experience a plus.
- Ability to teach problem-solving, proof, and advanced topics with clarity.
- Excellent communication skills; patient, engaging, and motivating.
- DBS clearance (or equivalent) preferred for safeguarding.
