Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Furniture Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing furniture products that align with our brand vision, customer requirements, and manufacturing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop innovative furniture designs from concept to final production
- Create detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, and technical specifications
- Work closely with the production and sampling teams to ensure design feasibility
- Select appropriate materials, finishes, and hardware
- Modify designs based on client feedback and production constraints
- Maintain design documentation and version control
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques
- Ensure designs meet quality, cost, and timeline requirements
- Contribute to B2C brand development, including product positioning, brochures,
- storytelling, and visual identity
- Assist in creating marketing-ready content such as product renders, photoshoot
- inputs, and catalogue visuals
- Manage and support social media platforms (Instagram, Pinterest, etc.) with relevant
- design-led content
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Furniture Design / Industrial Design / Interior Design
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in furniture design (preferred)
- Proficiency in design software such as:
- AutoCAD
- SketchUp / SolidWorks / Rhino
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Strong understanding of materials (wood, metal, upholstery) and manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of ergonomics and structural design
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in custom furniture or mass production environments
- Familiarity with CNC processes and prototyping
- Experience working with export-oriented furniture standards
