Position Overview

WOTR is looking for a Fundraising & Partnerships Officer to support Corporate and Philanthropic fundraising initiatives.

The role involves donor research, AI-enabled lead generation, CRM management, donor pipeline tracking, and coordination for donor outreach and proposal submissions.

The selected candidate will work closely with program teams, research teams, and the partnerships team to strengthen WOTR's fundraising pipeline and strategic collaborations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Donor Research & Lead Generation

Identify and profile prospective:

• CSR entities
• Foundations
• Family offices
• High Net Worth Individuals (HNIs)
• Development agencies (India & international)

Key tasks:

• Conduct strategic donor research aligned with WOTR's thematic priorities
• Use AI tools and donor intelligence platforms to generate and qualify leads
• Maintain a robust donor pipeline database including funding cycles, priorities, and eligibility

2. CRM & Pipeline Management

Maintain and update donor information in the CRM system

Responsibilities include:

• Tracking engagement history, submissions, renewals, and reporting timelines
• Maintaining accurate donor intelligence records
• Supporting internal teams with fundraising data and analytics

3. Outreach & Proposal Support

Coordinate donor engagement activities including:

• Scheduling donor meetings
• Preparing briefing notes and meeting documents
• Tracking follow-ups and next steps

Additionally:

• Coordinate with Program, Field, and Research teams for proposal compilation
• Ensure timely submission of proposals and supporting documentation
• Maintain a repository of donor-facing materials and partnership documents

4. Market Intelligence

Track and monitor developments in the funding ecosystem including:

• CSR funding trends
• Grants and donor calls
• International & national awards and prizes
• Emerging funding opportunities aligned with WOTR's mission

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in:

• Development Studies
• Social Sciences
• Management
• Public Policy
• Communications or related fields

Experience

• 35 years of experience in:
• Fundraising support
• Donor research
• CSR engagement
• Business development or partnerships

Required Skills

Strong written communication and proposal coordination skills

Familiarity with India's CSR ecosystem and philanthropic landscape

Experience with donor research tools and CRM platforms

Proficiency in MS Office and AI-enabled lead generation tools

Excellent organizational and coordination skills
