Sheradil Foundation is a Section 8 non-profit organization, registered under 80G, 12A, and CSR1. The Foundation implements programmes in Mumbai focused on the prevention of child sexual abuse and the rehabilitation of survivors.
In a short span of three years, Sheradil Foundation has evolved from a vision into a critical support system for survivors in Mumbai, building interventions that address an urgent and under-recognized issue in the child rights space.
Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and driven professional to join us as a Fundraising Associate. This role focuses on raising funds to support programmes for survivors of child sexual abuse and strengthening outreach through effective and responsible social media communication.
The position offers significant ownership, a steep learning curve and the opportunity to work closely with the Core Team. You will gain hands-on exposure across multiple aspects of fundraising while contributing to the development of systems and strategies from the ground up.

- Job Title: Fundraising Associate (Full-time)
- Location: Mumbai, primarily work from home, with occasional in-person meetings and events
- Language Requirements: Fluency in written and spoken English and Hindi
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Graduate or post-graduate in any discipline, with relevant professional experience
- 12 years of demonstrated experience in fundraising and donor engagement
- Experience in identifying prospective donors and developing fundraising proposals
- Ability to support and contribute to the development of fundraising and donor engagement strategies
- Experience in managing donor relationships; prior experience is an added advantage
- Strong persuasive writing skills, particularly for grants, proposals, and impact-driven storytelling
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey sensitive issues with clarity and conviction
- Strong networking and stakeholder management capabilities
- Comfort working with budgets, financial data, and reporting
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Canva
Key Responsibilities
- Own and achieve quarterly fundraising targets aligned with organizational goals and funding requirements
- Research and maintain a pipeline of 1520 active prospects across individual and institutional donors, with at least 50% comprising HNIs and institutional donors
- Plan and execute fundraising campaigns and events (online and offline)
- Develop and share periodic reports with individual and institutional donors
- Prepare and share CSR fund utilization reports in a timely manner
- Onboard new donors and strengthen relationships with existing donors to ensure donor retention and increase their contribution levels over time
- Create and manage social media content to support fundraising and outreach efforts
- Support and actively contribute to high-stakes presentations and partnership discussions
- Close at least 24 new CSR/HNI partnerships and institutional grants annually
- Work closely with the Head of Fundraising and Director, and support additional organizational priorities as required

- Emotional maturity and the ability to maintain professional boundaries in sensitive contexts
Additional Information
- Working Days: Monday to Saturday (compensatory off provided for weekend event work)
- Requirements: Candidate must have access to a laptop and a stable internet connection
- Compensation: 32,000 36,000 per month (based on experience), plus travel reimbursement and performance-based annual bonus
