Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive
Functional Tester & Implementation Consultant with
1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in software testing. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience in test documentation, and the ability to interact confidently with clients to resolve application issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional testing of software applications to ensure they meet business and technical requirements.
- Design, develop, and execute test cases and test scenarios based on requirements.
- Identify, document, and track defects/bugs using standard tracking tools.
- Collaborate closely with developers to validate bug fixes and enhancements.
- Participate in requirement analysis and provide inputs for improving test coverage.
- Interact with clients to understand issues, provide solutions, and ensure resolution.
- Prepare and maintain test documentation (test cases, test scripts, reports) using MS Word/Excel or test management tools.
- Perform regression testing to ensure stability after fixes or updates.
- Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and ensure timely delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of experience in functional testing.
- Good understanding of SDLC and STLC methodologies.
- Experience in writing test cases, test scenarios, and defect reports.
- Familiarity with tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar (preferred).
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and reporting.
- Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and documentation practices.
- Ability to work independently and in a client-facing environment.
- Willingness to travel and work at client locations as required.
Nice To Have
- Basic knowledge of API testing (Postman)
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology
- Understanding of SQL for data validation
