Power Electronics : Functional Safety Lead Engineer
Location : Tech Center , Bangalore B.E/B. Tech/M.E/M. Tech in Power Electronics/Electronics/Communication/Electrical Experience: 7 to 10 years
Major Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the Functional Safety team by providing technical guidance on ISO26262 (Systems, HW , SW and Production/Operation Level) and by doing hands on. Part 4, Part 5 & Part 6 (Mandatory to have)
- Deriving Functional Safety Requirements for Transmission, Inverter, DC-DC converter, on board charger and other Power Electronics Sub-Systems.
- Developing Technical Safety Concept, Technical Safety Requirements, Hardware Safety Requirements and Software Safety Requirements for Electrification product line.
- Developing Level 2 - Function Monitoring layer as per EGAS standards.
- Support System Architect to develop System Architecture Design for Transmission, Inverter and other Power Electronics Sub-Systems Analyze Stakeholder Requirements (Customer and Internal) Interface with experts across the globe to evaluate and specify power electronics sub-systems requirements.
- Support HW Architect to generate Product Definition Document (detailed product requirement)
- Support HW Architect to generate power electronics controllers design concept (Product Mechanization).
- Perform change management with the customer and internally (Requirements management in Polarion tool)
- Support Verification Leads to generate product functional test plan (safety compliance testing)
Major Job Qualifications Experience:
- Deep Expertise in Functional Safety (Minimum 4 years of experience in FS, Developing TSC, FSR, TSR, HSR and SSR). ISO26262 external audit experience and gap analysis.
- Exemplary expertise in requirements elicitation. Vast experience in handling customers and leading teams.
- Fair knowledge and hands on experience in power electronics controllers used for battery management, inverter management, motor maneuvering & position sensing, on-board charger and DC-DC conversion.
- Good understanding of System Architecture involved in ECU.
- Good understanding of Electronics circuits in ECU for PE Sub-Systems.
- Good understanding of microcontroller, its on-chip peripherals and ASICs.
- Good understanding of real-time embedded system design
