Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Functional Lead to spearhead a critical Payroll Transformation project across the EMEA and APAC regions. This role focuses on the redesign and optimization of business processes within PeopleSoft 9.2 HCM, specifically targeting complex vendor integrations. You will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution, ensuring that payroll systems are robust, compliant, and seamlessly integrated with third-party local providers.

Key Responsibilities

· Process Redesign: Audit existing payroll and benefits workflows to identify bottlenecks; design and implement future-state processes to resolve global integration issues.

· Vendor Integration Management: Act as the primary liaison between payroll vendors, developers, and business users to ensure data flows (Inbound/Outbound) are accurate and timely.

· Documentation & Strategy: Author comprehensive functional design documents (FDDs), end-to-end test plans, and rigorous test scripts for multi-country rollouts.

· Technical Collaboration: Partner closely with the development team to evaluate technical builds. You must be able to speak the language of developers to troubleshoot Application Engines and SQR logic.

· System Configuration: Manage complex configurations within PeopleSoft 9.2 Global Payroll and Benefits modules to meet diverse regional requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience with PeopleSoft HCM 9.2, specifically focusing on Global Payroll and Benefits.

· Technical Proficiency: * Advanced SQL skills for data validation and troubleshooting.

  • Functional understanding of PeopleSoft technical architecture (Application Engine, SQR, Component Interfaces, Integration Broker).

· Integration Expertise: Proven track record of managing integrations between PeopleSoft and 3rd-party vendors (e.g., ADP, Alight, or local regional providers).

· Testing Rigor: Expert-level ability to build and execute UAT (User Acceptance Testing) plans and regression testing in a global environment.

· Soft Skills: Exceptional stakeholder management skills; ability to translate complex technical issues into business-friendly language for regional users.

Preferred Attributes

· Experience navigating the regulatory landscape of payroll in the APAC and EMEA regions (e.g., GDPR compliance, local tax reporting).

· Prior experience in a Fix-it or Transformation environment rather than just steady-state maintenance.

· Strong analytical mindset with the ability to perform root-cause analysis on failed integration files or data discrepancies.
