Full-Stack Web Developer (React + Node.js)

Instinctive Studio is a Bangalore-based digital solutions company working across education, enterprise tools, and AI-powered products. We're looking for a Full-Stack Developer with 3+ years of hands-on experience building production web applications using React (Next.js) and Node.js.

If you love clean engineering, shipping fast, learning new things, and occasionally poking at the edges of what's possible, you'll fit right in.

This is initially a contractual position with an option to convert to full-time employment.

JOB DESCRIPTION

You'll be part of the core engineering engine that keeps a large, multi-faceted product sharp and evolving.

1. Product Development & Feature Work
2. Build and ship new features end-to-end: from API design to polished UI
3. Work primarily with React/Next.js on the frontend and Node.js/Express on the backend
4. Write clean, typed code (TypeScript is the default, not the exception)
5. Collaborate with designers and PMs to turn specs into working software
6. Solve real issues: handle support tickets, triage bugs, and ship quick, clean fixes
7. Improve constantly: push incremental upgrades to existing modules
8. Maintain and extend our internal tooling and shared component libraries
9. Handle deployments, patches, rollbacks, environment configs
10. Monitor uptime, logs, performance, alerts

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years building commercial full-stack web applications
• Strong proficiency in React, Next.js, Node.js, and Express
• TypeScript as a first language, not an afterthought
• Solid understanding of MongoDB and/or PostgreSQL
• Confident deploying and maintaining systems on cloud platforms (Azure, Vercel, AWS)
• Comfortable with Git workflows, debugging, and writing clean, maintainable code
• Curiosity: you're the kind of developer who experiments, learns, and levels up continuously

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with AI/ML integrations or vector databases
• Familiarity with design systems and component-driven development
• Comfort with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code
