Full-Stack Web Developer
Contract Duration: 3+ months (with possible extension based on performance)
Overview:
We are seeking a Mid-Level Full-Stack Web Developer to support a growing UK web development business transitioning from a freelance operation into a full-service agency.
The developer will work across a mixed stack of WordPress and Laravel projects, helping clear an existing backlog and eventually taking ownership of specific client projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites
- Build custom WordPress themes and plugins
- Work on Laravel applications using modern architecture
- Develop SPA interfaces using Inertia.js and Vue.js
- Switch between WordPress and Laravel tasks as project needs require
- Troubleshoot bugs and implement new features
- Collaborate directly with the founder on project delivery
- Eventually take ownership of individual client projects
Required Skills & Experience
- 35 years of professional web development experience
- Proven experience working on client projects
WordPress
- Custom themes and plugin development
- Experience with page builders (UTheme Pro preferred)
- Strong PHP and MySQL knowledge
Laravel & Frontend
- Laravel framework experience
- Inertia.js (or similar SPA approach)
- Vue.js frontend development
Other Requirements
- Ability to work independently
- Comfortable in a fast-moving agency environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good English communication
- Full-time (40 hours per week)
- Must overlap with UK business hours
