Full Stack Engineer

Role Overview

RunLoyal is a fast-growing vertical SaaS company headquartered in Atlanta, GA, building the operating system for the pet care industry. As a Full Stack Engineer on our Coimbatore engineering team, you'll design and ship scalable microservices and modern frontend applications that power a real multi-location SaaS platform used by real businesses, every day. You'll work across the stack, contribute to architectural decisions, and leverage AI-powered tooling to move fast without breaking things.

What You'll Own

Core Engineering Design and build scalable Spring Boot microservices, RESTful APIs, and responsive frontend applications in React or Angular. Write efficient SQL, optimize JVM performance, and ship clean, well-documented code that your teammates will thank you for.

Production Quality Participate in system design and architecture discussions, conduct code reviews, enforce engineering best practices, and own troubleshooting and resolution of production issues end-to-end.

AI-Driven Development Use AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) to accelerate feature development, generate tests, refactor code, and improve documentation. Apply prompt engineering and memory-bank approaches to maintain structured development context and contribute to internal AI engineering playbooks.

What You Bring

Must Have

• 3-5 years of professional software development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and REST API design
• Strong grasp of object-oriented programming and SOLID principles
• Experience with relational databases MySQL, SQL optimization
• Frontend experience with React or Angular
• Familiarity with build tools (Maven or Gradle) and Git
• Understanding of JVM fundamentals and backend performance optimization
• Experience with unit testing and code coverage practices
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

AI & Modern Engineering (Preferred)

• Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar
• Prompt engineering skills applied to real software development workflows
• Experience using AI for automated test generation and documentation
• Familiarity with context-driven development memory banks, structured prompts, reusable coding plugins
• Understanding of AI limitations, hallucination mitigation, and output validation strategies
• Experience integrating AI workflows into CI/CD or engineering processes

Nice to Have

• AWS experience EC2, ECS
• Docker and containerization
• CI/CD pipeline experience
• Caching mechanisms Redis or similar
• Experience in SaaS or multi-tenant systems
• Golang exposure
• DevOps and security best practices awareness
