FlexyPe operates at the intersection of payments, personalization, and logistics, offering native currencies, regional pricing, and shopper-preferred payment methods. Its platform provides fraud-aware COD intelligence, smart coupons, upsell and cross-sell flows, and risk-based payment routing, supported by deep analytics to understand checkout drop-offs. FlexyPe is already live with 800+ merchants, processing significant monthly GMV and serving millions of shoppers.

Role Description

Full Stack Engineer — FlexyPe

FlexyPe builds commerce infrastructure for Shopify merchants — checkout, payments, subscriptions, authentication and more. When our systems work, a merchant's customer completes a purchase in one tap and the merchant gets paid correctly. When they don't, someone loses a sale or gets billed the wrong amount. That's the bar we work against.

 As a Full Stack Engineer, you'll own features end to end: the data model, the API, the merchant-facing interface, and the production behavior after it ships. You won't hand work off to a separate backend or frontend team — you'll build the whole slice and stay responsible for it.

What you'll work on:

• Checkout and payment flows — integrating and hardening payment gateways, handling retries, idempotency, and reconciliation so money movement stays correct.
• Merchant-facing product surfaces — dashboards, billing views, and configuration tools that merchants use daily. Real users, immediate feedback.
• Shopify integration layer — Admin GraphQL APIs, webhooks, and app extensions that keep our data in sync with the merchant's store in near real time.
• Event-driven backend services — queue consumers, scheduled jobs, and pipelines built on AWS that process merchant and order data at volume.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 1-3+ years building and shipping production web applications end to end.
• Strong TypeScript / JavaScript across both server and browser — you understand async patterns, typing tradeoffs, and how to keep a large codebase navigable.
• Node.js backend experience: designing REST or GraphQL APIs, structuring services, handling auth, and reasoning about failure modes in distributed calls.
• Modern frontend proficiency with React (or equivalent component framework) — state management, performance, and building interfaces that hold up under real data.
• Solid data modeling skills with both NoSQL and relational stores. We run MongoDB and PostgreSQL, familiarity with either is fine, comfort with schema design and query performance is required.
• Cloud and infrastructure fluency — AWS (ECS, Lambda, S3, SQS, EventBridge and more), containerized deploys, and CI/CD pipelines. You should be comfortable owning a service in production, not just merging the PR.
• Debugging in production: reading logs, traces, and metrics to isolate an issue under time pressure. We use Sentry, New Relic, and OpenTelemetry.
• Git-based collaborative workflow — clear commits, reviewable PRs, and constructive code review.
• Ownership mindset. FlexyPe moves fast; we look for engineers who scope their own work, ask the right questions early, and ship without needing a spec for every detail.

Nice to Have

• Experience with the Shopify ecosystem — Admin GraphQL API, webhooks, app extensions, or building on Shopify's app platform.
• Payments integration background: Razorpay, PayU, Cashfree, PhonePe, Stripe, or similar.
• Understanding of idempotency, reconciliation, and webhook-driven state machines.
• Worked in a monorepo (Nx, Turborepo, Bazel) and understand affected-graph builds and shared library boundaries.
• Event-driven architecture experience — queues, retries, dead-letter handling, exactly-once semantics.
• Caching strategy at scale with Redis.
• Contributions to open source, or a side project you can walk us through.
