Full Stack Engineer

Estra Finance is looking for a practical, dependable and detail-oriented Full-Stack Engineer to help us develop and improve our fintech platform.

Our platform helps customers compare home loans, complete loan applications, upload supporting documents, track their loans and manage their property portfolios.

You will work across our customer-facing website, administration portal and backend services. This role involves developing new features, improving existing functionality, fixing bugs and ensuring information moves accurately between our frontend, APIs and database.

This is a completely remote contractor position with no travel required. Working hours are flexible, although you must be available for one one-hour meeting with management each week, scheduled between 12:00 pm and 8:00 pm Philippine Time.

The compensation for this role is USD 600 per month. The expected workload, availability and deliverables will be agreed upon before commencement.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and improve frontend features using Next.js, React and TypeScript
• Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and NestJS
• Connect frontend workflows to our REST APIs and Supabase database
• Work on loan applications, loan comparisons, customer dashboards and document workflows
• Diagnose and resolve bugs involving data, authentication and application state
• Ensure financial and loan information is displayed accurately and consistently
• Write clean, maintainable and testable code
• Review existing code and recommend practical improvements
• Test completed work carefully before it is released
• Communicate progress, questions and blockers clearly to management

Applicants should have:

• Practical experience with Next.js, React and Node.js
• Strong working knowledge of TypeScript
• Experience using Supabase or PostgreSQL
• Experience building and integrating REST APIs
• The ability to understand and improve an existing codebase
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Good written and spoken English
• Dependable communication and time-management skills
• The ability to work independently in a remote environment
