Full Stack Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a passionate FullStack Java Engineer to design, develop, and install highquality software solutions for BNP Paribas India Solutions. The role involves building innovative, fullyperforming applications that adhere to coding standards and technical designs, supporting production deployments, guiding offshore developers, and collaborating closely with onshore and offshore teams.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, code, test, and maintain the UI (Angular, RxJS, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML/CSS), middleware, services/APIs, and backend components (Java 817, Spring Boot, microservices, MQ).
• Build highly performant modules using appropriate frameworks and tools; apply datasecurity protocols and controls to protect information.
• Deliver robust, scalable solutions rapidly in an Agile environment; employ TestDriven Development (TDD) and other qualityassurance practices.
• Provide 3rdline support, partnering with the Application Production Support team to resolve incidents and optimize performance.
• Manage daytoday tasks for offshore developers, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with guidelines.
• Work closely with onshore and offshore teams, functional and technical architects, and business stakeholders.
• Define and champion technical best practices across the team.
• Enhance or implement the DevOps pipeline for production releases (CI/CD, automated testing).
• Lead or contribute to workshops and technical forums to share trends and drive innovation.
• Participate in architectural discussions and help design enterprisewide solutions.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE (MUSTHAVE)

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 7–10 years of handson software development in an enterprise environment, preferably within multilocation IT teams.
• Angular, RxJS, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• Java (up to version 17), Spring Boot, microservices, MQ, API performance tuning.
• SQL (writing queries, data modelling, indexing, performance optimisation).
• Basic algorithms and ability to estimate execution complexity.
• Experience with automated unit/integration testing (TDD).

PREFERRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE (NICETOHAVE)

• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps.
• Containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience designing or improving DevOps pipelines, familiarity with infrastructureascode (Terraform, Ansible).
• Working with enterprisescale architecture patterns and collaborating with technical architects.
• Certified Scrum Master or other Agile certifications; experience with BDD frameworks (Cypress, Cucumber).
• Prior work in banking, finance, or other regulated industries.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
