Role Overview : We are looking for a Fullstack Developer to design, build, and scale mission-critical digital platforms that power IIT Bombay's Educational Outreach initiatives.

This role requires strong hands-on engineering capability across frontend, backend, system integration, and deployment, along with the ability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Full Stack Development & Architecture

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications, admin portals, dashboards, and workflow tools
• Lead end-to-end development across frontend, backend, database, and deployment layers
• Build backend services using PHP/Laravel, Node.js, Python, or equivalent frameworks
• Develop responsive UI using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.js
• Create secure APIs and system integrations across internal and external platforms

Systems Integration & Automation

• Integrate CRM, LMS, payment gateways, analytics tools, and third-party platforms
• Design and implement workflow automation using tools like n8n, Zapier, or similar
• Build structured data pipelines across systems and applications
• Support AI-enabled features to improve operational efficiency

DevOps, Reliability & Security

• Support deployment planning, release management, and performance optimisation
• Maintain code repositories and version control practices (Git/GitLab)
• Ensure application security, access control, and system stability
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams for debugging and environment setup

Technical Collaboration

• Participate in technical design discussions and code reviews
• Translate operational needs into scalable technical solutions
• Work closely with cross-functional teams across program management, instructional design, finance, and operations

Must have - Experience / Skills

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in full stack development and enterprise-grade web applications
• Strong expertise in PHP/Laravel, JavaScript, React.js, and Linux-based environments
• Experience deploying and managing applications on AWS EC2 or similar cloud infrastructure
• Strong SQL/MySQL skills including schema design, query optimisation, and performance tuning
• Experience building and integrating secure APIs, authentication systems, and role-based access controls
• Hands-on experience with workflow automation tools such as n8n, Zapier, or similar platforms
• Familiarity with Git-based development workflows, production deployments, and debugging live systems
• Ability to work across frontend, backend, deployment, and system integration layers independently

Good to Have

• Exposure to LMS platforms such as Moodle
• Working knowledge of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments
• Experience with SSO, analytics dashboards, or AI integrations
• Background in edtech, SaaS, or enterprise systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field
• Master's degree / MCA or relevant certifications are a plus
