Full Stack Engineer

As a Full Stack Engineer you will design, develop and maintain endtoend solutions for capitalmarkets platforms, working in an agile, multilocation environment (onshore & offshore).

The role sits within Global Markets (GM) – the BNP Paribas business line that enables corporate and institutional clients to access capitalmarkets products (FX, equity derivatives, etc.) worldwide. IT systems are a core part of the value proposition; the team delivers and supports both commercialofftheshelf and internallydeveloped, marketleading applications.

Job Responsibilities

• Engineer solutions for complex problems on capitalmarkets platforms.
• Perform fullstack development (UI, middleware, services/APIs, SQL backend).
• Architect highperformance applications/modules using appropriate frameworks and tools.
• Deliver robust, scalable solutions rapidly in an agile way.
• Apply datasecurity protocols and controls to protect client and business data.
• Follow bestpractice quality techniques (e.g., TDD) to ensure highquality code.
• Provide 3rdline support and coordinate with the application productionsupport team.
• Manage daytoday tasks; be accountable for deliveries from offshore resources.
• Collaborate effectively with onshore and offshore teams.

Required Education, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of handson development in an enterprise environment, preferably within multilocation IT teams.
• Fullstack development (Angular, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Java, Spring Boot).
• Building and exposing RESTful APIs / microservices.
• SQL (query writing, schema design, performance).
• Understanding of datasecurity best practices.
• Familiarity with agile delivery and TDD.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with Java 17, newer Spring Boot versions, and modern reactive frameworks.
• Working knowledge of Jenkins (CI/CD pipelines) or similar automation tools.
• Exposure to messagequeue technologies (e.g., IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Prior experience in the capitalmarkets or financial services industry.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor offshore teams and drive delivery excellence.
