About the Company

AI-powered executive search firm headquartered in Singapore, with a delivery centre in Gurugram. We run PE-backed leadership mandates across Singapore, Dubai, Hong Kong, and Australia. Clients include sovereign wealth funds, large multinationals, family offices, and tier-1 private equity firms. We're building the platform that lets us out-deliver legacy search firms with a fraction of the headcount. Our AI/Data engineer owns the candidate universe database, RAG, and LLM orchestration. You own everything the team and our candidates actually touch — the tools, the apps, the dashboards, the deliverables.

About the Role

You'll be the product engineer for the firm. You work alongside the AI/Data engineer (who owns the backend AI and data layers) and report directly to the Director of Strategic Operations. Your job is to take what the AI and data layers expose, and turn it into surfaces our recruiters use daily, our candidates interact with, and our clients receive. This is a build seat, not a maintenance one. Expect to ship a new internal tool every 1–2 weeks for the first six months.

Responsibilities

• Internal tools — longlisting UI with fit-scoring, batch screening, candidate trackers, scorecards, mandate dashboards, search project trackers. Most are React apps wired to our internal APIs.
• Candidate-facing apps — assessment platforms (timed quizzes, intake forms), candidate portals, application flows. We've prototyped these in Claude artifacts; you take them to production.
• Client deliverables — shortlist pack generators, mandate status dashboards, branded report exports.
• Auth, admin, deployment — user management, role-based access, Vercel deployment, observability for what you ship.
• API layer — Node.js/Python APIs wrapping the AI/Data services into clean endpoints for the frontend.

You don't own the candidate database. You don't own the RAG layer. You consume them.

Qualifications

3–6 years shipping production web apps end-to-end — frontend strong, backend competent.

Required Skills

• Strong React + TypeScript — you can ship a clean, fast, usable internal tool without a designer or hand-holding.
• Backend chops — you can design and build REST APIs, work with PostgreSQL, integrate third-party services without breaking.
• Comfortable consuming AI APIs — Claude, OpenAI, or equivalent. You don't need to build models, but you need to wire them in well.
• Eye for product — you push back on bad UX, you ask does anyone actually need this, you ship lean.
• Self-directed — small team, no PM, no design lead. You own scoping and prioritisation with the founders.

Preferred Skills

• Worked at an early-stage startup (Series A or earlier).
• Built internal tools or B2B SaaS dashboards.
• Familiar with Vercel, Supabase, or similar modern web stacks.
• Exposure to recruitment, HR-tech, or PE/financial services workflows.
