Duties
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will be a crucial contributor to the Digital Risk Office GRC Platforms & Products Group within our Tech Ecosystem and will be responsible for the delivery of capabilities required by the group's stakeholders. This includes technical architecture, design, development and maintenance of the group's solution portfolio (custom, COTS and SaaS) in adherence with industry best practices.
You will actively collaborate with team members, product teams in different portfolios and stakeholders alike.
You will be an active learner: tinkering with new products and services, using unfamiliar technologies, and encouraging continuous research inside and outside the current focus fields. You will provide leadership in the development and strategic direction of new products, processes, technologies.
You will use your passion and knowledge about secure coding practices, code quality, and sound engineering practices such as Test-Driven Development, simple code/configuration, automated testing and deployments, continuous integration, and continuous deployment. You will collaborate with other engineers and technical leads to improve our organizational capability.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and maintain full-stack applications using Python (FastAPI) and React.
Write and maintain PL/SQL scripts, stored procedures, and database logic to support data pipelines and backend processing.
Implement and configure SaaS platforms and custom scripts to meet product or operational needs.
Build, maintain, and document technical architectures using cloud-native patterns.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical implementations.
Deploy and manage applications using Docker and Kubernetes for containerized environments.
Integrate systems through middleware and event-driven architecture.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently; participate in on-call rotations as needed.
Stay current with CI/CD best practices, particularly GitHub Actions and automated deployment workflows.
Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation for development and deployment processes.
Leverage GenAI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI) to accelerate coding, automate test generation, and perform AI-driven security analysis and code review.
Skills
Primary Skills
Advanced proficiency in Python backend frameworks (FastAPI preferred) and practical knowledge of React for frontend development.
Strong PL/SQL skills for writing and optimizing stored procedures, functions, and complex queries in relational databases.
Hands-on expertise with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong working knowledge of AWS services (Lambda, SQS, API Gateway, EKS, SNS, Secrets Manager, S3, Athena).
Experience managing databases like Snowflake and MongoDB.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
Strong understanding of non-functional aspects including performance, scalability, usability, and reliability.
Well-versed in design-driven development, continuous integration, and application security practices (including OWASP Top 10, SAST/DAST, and dependency scanning).
Good command of software architecture principles and design methodologies across diverse platforms.
Experience in event-driven and microservices architectures.
Proficiency in Agile methodologies and iterative software delivery.
Experience with testing frameworks such as pytest and Jest/React Testing Library; commitment to Test-Driven Development.
Proficiency with GenAI-assisted development tools for code generation, automated testing, and security vulnerability analysis.
Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, or equivalent) for production systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal collaboration skills for stakeholder alignment and teamwork.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar, advanced degree preferred
