Senior Full-Stack Engineer What you'll do Design, build, and ship end-to-end features across modern React/Next.js front-ends and Node.js/Express back-ends. Develop scalable, event-driven services leveraging PostgreSQL, message queues (e.g., AWSSQS), and AWS serverless/container offerings. Own TypeScript code quality: write maintainable, strongly typed modules, enforce lint/format/test pipelines, and mentor peers in best practices. Implement secure authentication/authorization flows (OAuth2.0, JWT, RBAC) and enforce encryption-at-rest / in-transit across all layers. Optimise data access patterns using ORMs, query builders, or raw SQL; design efficient schema migrations and observability on PostgreSQL (bonus: NoSQL such as MongoDB). CI/CD automationDocker, IaC, unit/integration/E2E test suites, and blue-green or canary deployments on AWS. Leverage AI-powered developer tools (e.g., coding assistants, code-search, prompt-based generators) to accelerate delivery and researchwhile maintaining full human code review and accountability (AI output must never ship un-reviewed). Integration of AI Services: selecting the right LLM for a job, writing efficient prompts, and applying advanced techniques RAG pipelines, fine-tuning, context engineering, system instructions. You'll help embed these capabilities into our products while ensuring every AI interaction is cost-efficient, performant, secure, and always reviewed before release. Proactively research emerging patterns (edge computing, React Server Components, caching, AI capabilities, etc.) and integrate when valuable. Collaborate in cross-functional squads; break down epics into tangible user stories and provide realistic estimates. Core tech you'll touch Frontend: React 19, Next.js , TanStack Query, Jest/React Testing Library, Tailwind CSS, UI libraries (MUI, Shadcn, Radix etc). Backend: Node.js (18LTS), Express, TypeScript, REST, JSONSchema validation, OpenAPI. Data: PostgreSQL (SQL, migrations, performance tuning), Prisma ORM/migrations; exposure to MongoDB or DynamoDB is a plus. Cloud & DevOps: AWS (ECS/Fargate, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, SQS, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch), Docker, BitBucket Pipelines / Github Actions. Security & Compliance: OAuth2.0 / OIDC, JWT, TLS, KMS, basic familiarity with SOC2 / GDPR. What we're looking for 7+ years professional experience building production web applications with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Node.js. Proven track record designing relational schemas, writing efficient SQL, and handling transactional consistency at scale. Experience deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting applications in AWS (or comparable cloud) environments. Solid grasp of modern front-end patternsstate management, Suspense, performance optimization, responsive UI. Strong background in application security: secure coding, encryption, secrets management, and compliance frameworks. Familiarity with event-driven architecture and distributed systems concepts (idempotency, retries, back-pressure). Foundational understanding of modern AI/LLM concepts like prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), fine-tuning, context windows, and a genuine curiosity to deepen that knowledge and apply it to real-world product features. Comfortable with agile methodologies, story pointing, and code reviews; excellent written and verbal English communication. Bonus: experience with message-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS), serverless patterns, or infrastructure as code (CDK/Terraform).
