Job Description – Full Stack Developer

Work Location: Kolkata, West Bengal

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Full Stack Developer with 6 to 10 years of hands-on experience to join our Kolkata Corporate Office. The candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining highly scalable applications across the backend and frontend, supporting our smart metering ecosystem and related digital initiatives.

Roles, Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using .NET (C#) with a focus on performance, security, and scalability.
• Develop responsive and maintainable frontend applications using Angular, HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
• Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and stored procedures using PostgreSQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL).
• Own end-to-end feature delivery—from requirement understanding and solution design to development, code review, testing, and deployment support.
• Create highly scalable solution designs (modular architecture, caching, concurrency, and resiliency patterns) and contribute to technical design reviews.
• Write unit tests and support integration/system testing; drive defect triage, root-cause analysis, and fixes.
• Use Git effectively for branching, merging, pull requests, and version control best practices.
• Work in Agile/Scrum teams—participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality releases.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation (design notes, API contracts, test evidence, and operational handover documents).

Skills & Qualifications

• Qualification: BTech (Computer Science/ECE) / MTech / MCA.
• Experience: 6–10 years in full stack development.
• Strong backend development experience in .NET (C#), including RESTful API design and secure coding practices.
• Strong frontend development experience with Angular (TypeScript), and working knowledge of modern UI patterns.
• Hands-on expertise with PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL), including performance tuning and query optimization.
• Proficiency with Git and standard SDLC practices (branching strategy, code reviews, CI-friendly workflows).
• Working knowledge of Agile and Scrum framework; ability to estimate, plan, and deliver in sprints.
• Strong development testing mindset: unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and automation-friendly design.
• Experience in designing highly scalable solutions (scalability, availability, resiliency, observability, and performance considerations).
• Smart Metering / AMI domain exposure will be an added advantage.
