Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Front-End Development

Develop, maintain, and optimize web interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles
Collaborate closely with designers and backend teams to implement intuitive UI/UX experiences
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and strong front-end performance
Extend and maintain custom JavaScript libraries, UI components, and reusable modules
Implement client-side form handling, validation, and asynchronous communication (AJAX / Fetch)

Back-End Development

Build, maintain, and refactor backend services using PHP (experience in custom frameworks preferred)
Write efficient, secure, and well-structured server-side logic
Develop and maintain scheduled backend scripts and batch processing jobs
Support mobile application workflows, including Firebase integrations and app store interface coordination

Database & API Integrations

Design and optimize SQL queries for relational databases such as MySQL and SQL Server
Integrate third-party APIs (REST, SOAP) and ensure smooth data flow across systems
Process data from external sources including EDI files, e-commerce platforms, and other operational systems
Maintain strong data handling practices, including error handling, transactions, and secure connections

DevOps, Deployment & Application Support

Utilize version control (Git) for branching, merging, and code review
Contribute to code quality, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Support the generation of server-side documents (PDF, Excel) and file-handling operations
Implement and maintain security best practices, including mitigation of SQL injection, XSS, and related vulnerabilities

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

6-8 years of full stack development experience
4+ years focused on front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Strong proficiency in PHP 7+/8+ (OOP, custom frameworks, backend logic)
Experience integrating and debugging APIs
Strong understanding of responsive design and modern UI development
Expertise with relational databases (MariaDB/MySQL, SQL Server) and optimized SQL queries
Familiarity with mobile app workflows including Firebase, Apple App Store, and Google Play Store processes
Experience with Git and code-review workflows
Understanding of core security practices for web applications

Preferred Skills

Experience with SCSS/Sass, Bootstrap, and custom JavaScript component development
Exposure to PHP-based business systems such as ERP, CRM, e-commerce, or inventory management platforms
Experience with Samsara, Fleetio, or similar operational platforms
Experience with Vehicle/Fleet Management, maps, coordinates and geospatial mapping
Experience generating documents programmatically (PDF, Excel) or image manipulation (GD, ImageMagick)
Basic knowledge of DevOps or cloud environments
Understanding of WAMP/LAMP environments or legacy codebase modernization
