Frontend Developer Intern

Numatix is seeking a motivated and talented Frontend Developer Intern with strong skills in Next.js, ReactJS, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and TanStack. This internship offers the opportunity to work on high-performance, visually polished user interfaces that power analytics dashboards, graphing systems, and mission-critical internal tools.

As an intern, you will collaborate closely with our product, design, and engineering teams to build responsive, fast, and scalable UI screens while adhering to modern frontend engineering best practices.

This three-month, fully remote internship offers hands-on experience in crafting high-performance user interfaces, designing advanced analytics dashboards, working with modern frontend technologies, and contributing to the UI/UX foundation of our upcoming strategy marketplace.
Key Responsibilities

• Craft UI Excellence: Build elegant, responsive, and high-performance screens using React, Next.js, TanStack, and Tailwind CSS.

• Graphing & Visualization: Develop intuitive charting interfaces and graphical analytics components for complex datasets.

• Boost Performance: Optimize rendering, state management, and component structure for real-time, high-speed user experiences.

• Full UI Ownership: Work end-to-end on frontend modulesfrom design understanding to implementation, testing, and polish.

• Collaborate & Refine: Work closely with designers to translate Figma screens into production-grade UI.

• Code Quality: Maintain a clean, scalable codebase following best practices, reusable component patterns, and strong TypeScript discipline.

• Innovate & Improve: Continuously enhance usability, accessibility, and frontend system performance.

Requirements

• Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree (or working toward one) in STEM, Statistics, Econometrics, or Quantitative Finance.

• Frontend Fundamentals: Strong understanding of React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frontend development workflows.

• UI & Performance Mindset: A passion for building fast, beautiful, and clean user interfaces.

• Problem-Solving Ability: Ability to break down UI/UX challenges and build efficient, reusable solutions.

• Technical Curiosity: Eagerness to learn advanced concepts such as server components, state management patterns, and UI performance profiling.

• Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative product development environment.

• Communication: Ability to clearly articulate design and technical decisions.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with charting libraries (Recharts, Chart.js, D3.js, ECharts, etc.)

• Familiarity with design systems, component libraries, or UI architecture

• Understanding of API integration and data-fetching patterns using TanStack Query

• Exposure to Next.js App Router, server actions, and modern React features

• Basic understanding of UX principles and responsive design
