About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Frontend/SDK Developer Level 6 to join our dynamic team at Wisemonk. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence both the developer-facing SDKs and the core frontend experiences of our AI evaluation platform. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining high-quality TypeScript SDKs, building reusable frontend systems, and developing responsive, accessible user interfaces using modern technologies such as React 19, Tailwind CSS, and TypeScript. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, architectural judgment, and a passion for creating developer-friendly tools and seamless user experiences. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including backend developers and product managers, to deliver scalable, maintainable, and high-performance solutions that meet the evolving needs of our users and external developers.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. You should have at least six years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven track record in building public SDKs, open-source libraries, or developer-facing APIs. Strong expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, React.js, HTML, and CSS is essential. Additionally, experience with package architecture, API design, and creating reusable frontend abstractions is required. Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library, as well as experience with React Hooks and component-driven development, is necessary. Bonus skills include experience with npm package publishing, semantic versioning, monorepo tooling, CI/CD workflows, and cloud platforms like GCP. Candidates with exposure to data visualization frameworks, Next.js, and backend API integrations will have an added advantage.
Responsibilities
Design and maintain robust TypeScript SDKs and developer-facing libraries that facilitate external integration and usage. Build reusable abstractions, APIs, and frontend utilities that ensure consistency and reliability across our platform. Develop maintainable SDK interfaces with a focus on scalability and developer usability, contributing to the overall package architecture and frontend platform standards. Write comprehensive automated tests to guarantee SDK reliability and frontend quality, and continuously improve developer experience through tooling enhancements, package structure optimization, and streamlined integration workflows.
Build and maintain responsive, accessible UI components using React 19 and Tailwind CSS, ensuring they meet high standards of performance, usability, and accessibility. Participate in frontend architectural planning to develop scalable solutions that support future growth. Independently resolve complex UI and integration challenges, applying best practices in frontend optimization, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility. Handle client-side routing, data fetching, and form logic using TanStack Router, React Query, and React Hook Form, collaborating closely with backend developers to integrate frontend systems with backend APIs. Engage in code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and uphold high code quality standards across the team.
