Job Description

Trainee Mechanical Engineer in the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) industry is responsible for learning and assisting in the design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection. The role involves gaining practical experience under the guidance of senior engineers and ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. Assist in preparing MEP system designs using software like AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM.

Help in creating technical drawings, layouts, and schematics for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

Support in preparing BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and material specifications.

Review project drawings and assist in making modifications based on client or site requirements.

Visit project sites to understand the installation process of mechanical systems.

Assist in supervising contractors and technicians to ensure work is done as per approved drawings and specifications.

Help in monitoring project progress, quality control, and safety compliance at sites.

Support in conducting site inspections and testing of installed systems.

Learn about HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems including ductwork, chillers, and VRF systems.

Assist in plumbing system design for water supply, drainage, and sanitary systems.

Support in firefighting system installations like sprinklers, hydrants, and suppression systems.
