About The Opportunity
Healthcare Retail Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Services sector operating in Koramangala, Bangalore. We serve walk-in patients, clinics, and local healthcare providers with medicines, OTC products, and patient counselling services.
We are hiring on-site fresher pharmacists for full-time or part-time shifts to join a fast-paced community pharmacy team and support daily dispensing, inventory, and patient-facing operations.
Job Title
Pharmacist Trainee (Fresher) On-site, Koramangala, Bangalore
Role & Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications and process prescriptions following legal and safety standards.
- Validate prescriptions for drug interactions, dosage appropriateness, and patient safety; flag clinical queries to the supervising pharmacist.
- Counsel patients on medication use, adherence, side effects, and basic OTC choices with clear, empathetic communication.
- Manage pharmacy inventory: stock receipt, expiry checks, FEFO/stock rotation, and reconciliation to minimise shrinkage.
- Maintain cold chain procedures for temperature-sensitive products and document storage conditions.
- Operate POS and pharmacy management software; maintain accurate records for billing, returns, and regulatory audits.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- D.Pharm or B.Pharm qualification (freshers welcome)
- Registration with State Pharmacy Council or ability to obtain provisional registration
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with pharmacy management software / POS systems
- Knowledge of prescription validation, drug interactions, and cold chain handling
- Ability to work on-site in Koramangala; available for full-time or part-time shifts
- Clear verbal communication in English and local language sufficient for patient counselling
Preferred
- Internship experience in a retail/community pharmacy
- Certification or training in Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP) or pharmacy safety
- Familiarity with e-prescription systems or digital health platforms
