Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled freight broker to join our team. As a freight broker, you will play a crucial role in generating leads, attracting new prospects, and developing a sales pipeline. You will be responsible for identifying and selecting reputable and safe freight carriers, providing shipping quotes to customers, booking orders with carriers, and coordinating with shippers, carriers, and dispatchers to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs. Responsibilities:

- Generate leads, attract new prospects, and develop a sales pipeline

- Identify and select reputable and safe freight carriers

- Onboarding new clients.

- Provide shipping quotes to customers

- Book orders with carriers

- Assist in preparing carriers for loads

- Monitor the status of loads

- Coordinate with shippers, carriers, and dispatchers for scheduled pickups and drop-offs

- Maintain accurate records of pertinent activities

- Inform customers about shipment status and assist with other inquiries

- Stay up-to-date with current transportation market trends

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field preferred.
• 13 years of experience in a freight brokerage environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with freight types (LTL, FTL, intermodal, and drayage) and logistics terms is a plus.

Skills:

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
